This webinar introduces participants to the cutting-edge technology of 3D bioprinting and its applications in biomedical research. The session covers the principles of bioprinting, from bioink formulation to printing strategies, and explains how these innovations reshape approaches to drug discovery, disease modeling, and regenerative medicine. Real-world case examples demonstrate how the technology is applied in laboratories worldwide. Designed for students, researchers, and professionals, the webinar offers an accessible entry point into this rapidly advancing field.
Dr. Munir Al-Zeer is a microbiologist and educator with over 15 years of academic and research experience. He has taught and supervised students at the Technical University of Berlin, the Max Planck Institute for Infection Biology, and the University of Jordan. His expertise covers microbiology, infectious diseases, immunity, cancer, and advanced 3D culture systems, including bioprinting, organoids, and air–liquid interface models, which he applies for disease modeling and drug testing.
